A First-Class Futures Programme

Overseeing careers and university advice is where our Futures Department really comes into its own for Senior & Sixth Form Students, providing guidance and advice for higher education or the many career paths available.

Post 18 Pathways

We work with individual students to lead them through the application processes for their chosen post Sixth Form pathway, using the online platform Unifrog.

The Futures Department offers a bespoke service that is tailored to the unique educational and career needs of our students, recognising and playing to their strengths and interests.

Through a combined programme of PSHEE talks and assemblies, large careers fairs and visiting professionals, the Futures Team provides exceptional support, advice and guidance to ensure pupils have all the information they require to make an informed choice about their future.

The Department works closely with the Head of Sixth Form to nurture students through the process of their individual application.

College fairs, university visits and careers events

Whether students are interested in pursuing further education in the UK, Europe or the US, or keen to move into employment, we offer college fairs and university visits, open days and careers events, enabling them to make contacts with selected representatives who can give them tailored advice from their personal and professional experience.

For those students who are interested in apprenticeships, we have a number of links with alumni involved with Degree Apprenticeships, offering exceptional guidance across the rigorous application processes.

The Futures Department’s in-depth programme of enrichment talks in Prep School, Senior School and across TSIMS and TSI ensures each student has every opportunity possible to explore the options available before deciding their future pathway.

Where are they now?

Our alumni go on to have successful careers in a variety of areas including medicine, law, finance, health, education, business management, sport, and the entertainment industry, to name but a few.

The sense of global reach at Taunton School continues long after students leave. Our alumni association is a global network of thousands of people, of all ages.
