A Brand New Sixth Form Centre

Sixth Form life is a wonderful blend of academic studies, co-curricular activities and socialising, all aimed at developing well rounded, inquisitive and knowledgeable young adults who can achieve anything they put their minds to.

There are numerous areas outside the classroom where pupils can concentrate on their studies, from the Carrington Library and their house facilities to the brand new Sixth Form Centre, fondly referred to as the ‘Guvvy’. Whether it is time to work or socialise, the Guvvy provides the ideal hub for both Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth Form pupils to gather.

Beyond the Classroom

It’s not just about achieving academic success in the Sixth Form, which is why we offer opportunities for students to experience a vast range of activities that are invaluable for application to further education and their future careers.

Whether it’s joining our many clubs and student led societies, volunteering or participating in sports, music groups and ensembles, drama, dance, Tens Tors, DoE or CCF, students have an almost endless choice of activities to enjoy. In fact, the only complaint seems to be there’s not quite enough time to experience all of the great opportunities on offer.

Sixth Form Uniform

Members of the Sixth Form (Year 12 & 13) are required to wear formal tailored clothes and expected to take pride in their appearance but can choose their own attire.
