A Levels continue to be a popular choice among Sixth Formers as they allow pupils to explore the subjects they really enjoy in more depth.
For pupils who are strong in two or three subjects, A Levels allow them to focus on these particular areas of study in preparation for higher education. Plus, they enable more free time for independent research via an extended project (EPQ), which is also beneficial for enhancing university applications.
Pupils can study four subjects from the wide spectrum offered at A Level. Subjects include English Literature, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, French, German, Spanish, Latin, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, ICT, Geography, Geology, History, Design Technology, Fine Art or Photography, Music, Psychology, Classical Civilisation, Philosophy Religion and Ethics and Drama and Theatre Studies.
A combination of academic study and participation in co-curricular activities allows pupils to expand on personal development, whilst obtaining life and leadership skills which are increasingly valued by universities.
