A-Levels have always been a popular choice among Sixth Form students. They allow students to deeper their exploration of a small number of subjects in preparation for focused study at University. Students can choose up to four subjects to study at A-Level, granting a breadth of focused knowledge.
BTECs offer module based learning with continuous assessments. They are valued for their real-word applications and development of vocational skills. They are the perfect option for students who prefer practical-based learning.
Taunton School has two options for BTEC: Business Studies, and Sport & Exercise Science.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an internationally recognised qualification. It is designed to offer students a breadth of knowledge in a range of academic areas. This often requires additional personal study outside of lesson time, making for a demanding yet rewarding academic course.
The International Foundation Year programme at Taunton School is designed for students who have a keen interest in the world of Business and Economics, providing a fast-track route to related undergraduate courses.
The course provides international students with an outstanding, well-rounded education including a wide range of academic modules and extra-curricular opportunities, offering a brilliant alternative pathway to university which diverges from the more traditional A-Level and IB programmes.
