Adrian grew up in Stratford-Upon-Avon where he studied for his A levels at Shakespeare’s old school before going on to King’s College, London to study Geography. Adrian graduated in 1991 and then went on to take a PGCE in Mathematics at Nottingham University.
After a short stint teaching mathematics in a secondary school in Derbyshire, Adrian spent some time in the Far East and taught in and/or visited several countries in that region, including Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China and Thailand. He also spent three years working at a language school near Paris in France, teaching EFL, EAL and ESP, both to adults and children.
When Adrian finally returned to England, he made Cambridgeshire his home, where, between September 1999 and June 2006, he was Academic Manager at King’s International Study Centre, Ely. In September 2006, Adrian took up the role of Deputy Principal at Taunton School International, where he has continued his aim of seeking to get the best out of all students, no matter what their background, culture or ability.
In September 2014, Adrian became Principal of Taunton School International where he is extremely fortunate to have highly dedicated and resourceful staff around him. Adrian feels very privileged to work with so many gifted and talented students from all over the world – their ability to adapt to a new culture and education system never ceases to amaze him.
