Claire was born in Zambia but at the age of eight came to live in the UK. She was educated in Bournemouth and then Bristol. Claire won an award at 6th form which enabled her to teach and travel in New Zealand for a year which was key in her decision to train as a teacher on her return to the UK.
Claire attended Bradford University and studied a BA (Hons) course in English and Psychology and then went on to complete a CELTA course back in Bournemouth. After teaching and travelling for two years in Asia, Claire returned to London to complete here PGCE English Language and Literature at Goldsmiths University.
Claire also qualified as a CASI Snowboard instructor and so spent many years teaching in International schools around the world as well snowboard instructing. She finally settled and taught in Argentina for over 12 years before deciding to head back to the UK in 2011. She worked in Bristol as an EAL teacher and Boarding Mistress before heading down to Taunton and starting work as an English teacher in TSI.
Claire thoroughly enjoys working with a variety of nationalities and finds it exciting to have a role in the education and development of young people from such an enormous range of cultural backgrounds.
