Emma was born and educated in London and from an early age took an active part in cultural exchanges to France and Spain. She embarked on a degree in Hispanic Studies BA at King’s College, London. During the long summers Emma worked in holiday camps in Spain where she ran activities for children. On her year abroad, she lived in Santiago, Chile, where she worked as a British Council language assistant. Upon finishing her degree, Emma completed the CELTA course and returned to teach English in Chile for a further three years, finishing her time in The Grange School.

Upon returning to the UK Emma started working in a large school in North-East London where she supported those students who were new to the English language and also taught Spanish. Whilst in this role, Emma complete her PGCE at the Institute of Education, UCL, and started the DELTA course. Four years later, Emma moved to Bath to take on the role of teacher of English as an Additional Language at Prior Park College. She has had the privilege of working across both the boys’ and girls’ boarding houses and has thoroughly enjoyed completing the Boarding Schools’ Association Certificate in International Boarding. Emma is greatly looking forward to taking on the role of Housemistress.
