Growing up, Erica lived in several different countries, and spent some of her teenage years at an international school herself. This initiated her enthusiasm for learning about different cultures, and her understanding of the benefits that living in a multicultural society can bring. As an adult, she lived in France for a year, where her children attended a French school. This has given her a good grasp of the difficulties that children can face when being educated in a language other than their own.

She gained a degree in Natural Science at Cambridge University, and, prior to qualifying as a science teacher, qualified and practiced as a Chartered Accountant. She believes that this has benefited her teaching by giving her a wide range of life experiences.

She has taught all sciences, including Chemistry up to A-level. She is thrilled to be working at Taunton School International, where she can combine her love of science, her enthusiasm for nurturing and educating, and her interest in other cultures.
