Jacqui is originally from the South-West of England, having grown up in Bath and then in Taunton. She completed her education at Taunton School leaving in 2003. Having completed her A-Levels in French, Spanish and Geography, Jacqui then left to follow her dream of completing a ski season in the Alps before taking up her place at University.
Unfortunately Jacqui was unable to complete the season because of a serious accident whilst skiing and so it was at that point that she decided to explore the world of EAL. She completed her CELTA at International House Barcelona in 2004 and considered this to be her ticket to travel the world and meet people.
When Jacqui first qualified she taught on a couple of holiday courses at what was then known as Taunton International Study Centre, now Taunton School International. She subsequently moved to the Isle of Wight and taught a number of different subjects in a further education college, including EAL, Business Studies, Catering and Travel and Tourism.
In 2006 Jacqui spent a year living and teaching in a school in Thailand. Between 2007 and 2014 Jacqui taught on the Isle of Wight coordinating the ESOL department and during this time she also completed her DELTA. Jacqui loves walking her dog, spending time with her family and travelling. She also enjoys many sports, particularly hockey which she played at county level when at school.
