Liz was born in South Carolina and grew up all over the United States, including North Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas, Nebraska and she went to high school in Florida.

Liz studied German and Communication Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was awarded a full scholarship for swimming her best event was the 100m Butterfly. Liz came to the UK via Germany where she lived for five years working as a translator for an IT company and later as an EFL teacher. She enjoyed it so much that she completed a PGCE in Modern Languages at the University of Bristol and taught in Bristol schools for 8 years before moving to Taunton.

Liz is excited to be a part of the Taunton School International team and is very much looking forward to being the girls’ Housemistress. Liz feels very fortunate to work so closely with international students. Watching them grow as they adapt to a new culture and learn a new language is a real privilege for her.
