Louise Higgins is from Surrey, she graduated Loughborough university with a 2.1 in Management Science and then spent a gap year in Australia, where she developed her love for travel. She has a PGCE in secondary mathematics and worked in South London for two years where she was an examiner for Edexcel mathematics both at GCSE and A level.

She has taught at Repton Dubai, The international School of Seychelles (where she was head of key stage three). Before she joined Taunton School she worked at Sherborne Qatar where she was assistant head of mathematics. She also has as postgraduate certificate in middle leadership (specialising in the change to 9 to 1 in mathematics).

A keen traveller, in the next few years she hopes to join the travellers century club. Her most memorable trips include driving round Iceland’s ring road to see puffins and glaciers, taking selfies with sloths in Costa Rica and toasting marshmallows at the darvaza gas crater in Turkmenistan! Since moving back to the UK and relocating to Taunton she enjoys country walks and a well-stocked supermarket.
