Lyndsay was born and educated in Bristol. She moved to Bedfordshire to study Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons) at university and during this time, she spent her summers gaining pastoral experience working for Camp America and travelling around Malaysia and Australia. Lyndsay progressed onto a PGCE in Physical Education at Exeter University and graduated in 2002. Her first teaching post was at a large co-educational school in Hertfordshire, shortly followed by a ten year stint working at Millfeld. Whilst teaching PE at Millfield, Lyndsay was also an Assistant Housemistress in a large girls’ boarding house, a Senior Tutor and the 1st VII Netball Coach.

Lyndsay moved to Reading in 2014 to take up the post of Housemistress at Queen Anne’s School. She very much enjoyed the three years she spent looking after the 70 girls in her boarding house, many of whom were international. The work she has undertaken whilst completing her recent Boarding Schools’ Association qualifications has fuelled her passion for providing excellent pastoral care and helped to shape her approach when working with young people. As well as being Deputy Head at Taunton School International, Lyndsay leads the PSHE programme and is a netball coach. These roles provide an excellent opportunity for Lyndsay to use her wealth of pastoral and sporting experience to get to know the students better and to establish a nurturing and friendly environment for our diverse community of students.
