Rachel was born and raised in Portsmouth, Hampshire. She moved to Chichester at the age of 18 to start university, where she has recently graduated with an upper second class honours degree in Physical Education and Sports Coaching.

Rachel’s passion lies within sport and physical activity, with a particular focus on team games such as basketball and handball. She played and competed in both sports for the University of Chichester teams in the British Universities and Colleges Sport leagues as well as regional and national finals. During her time playing with the women’s basketball team she was also awarded the privilege of holding both the captaincy and presidential roles for the club as a whole, where she developed a number of important lifelong skills.

Whilst working at Taunton School International, Rachel’s position is a Graduate Residential Assistant. Her main responsibilities lie heavily in a pastoral manner working in the girls’ boarding house as an assistant housemistress. Rachel will also be involved with Games and PE, whilst gaining experience observing and assisting in other parts of the school. Rachel is thoroughly looking forward to the opportunity of working with such a diverse group of students and is grateful for the chance to be a part of their international boarding and schooling experience.
