Year 4's Dazzling Cinderella Musical

Posted: 23rd February 2018

We have come to the end of an intense and dazzling production week for all the Year 4 children. They worked incredibly hard to produce a musical version of Roald Dahl’s “Cinderella” in just 4 days. Every child had a vital role to play in making the production a huge success in terms of singing, acting, and dancing. Of course, the principal characters with many lines to speak and solos to sing have climbed an incredible mountain to overcome their nerves, but truly every child has earned a very big pat on the back from their form teachers and from the school Performing Arts Department. We congratulate the year group on their superb effort, together with Miss Page, Mr Pettit, Mr Baker and Mr Hornsby for their amazing and selfless support. A special mention has to go to Miss Hannah Turner and Mr Raven who spent hours designing and painting the set and to Ms Diane Turner for her support with the dancing. Miss Richards and her team created wonders with makeup and two special children, Alex Pomeroy and Grace Talbot (Mr Riggs’ protégés) were in charge of the lighting. Thank you also to SMT for their continued support.

What an achievement! There is indeed so much talent to continue to enjoy and to look forward to from this wonderful year group.
