Founded by Caroline Hirons, Give and Makeup is a non-profit initiative that brings everyday beauty essentials to women and children escaping domestic violence.
The charity was set up in 2010 and since then has worked alongside Refuge and Women’s Aid to help women fleeing abusive relationships. In most cases, these women have fled with their children, leaving many of their belongings behind.
This term the girls in Weirfield have been collecting toiletries and other cosmetic products to donate to this unique charity. We hope that our donations will help make Christmas a little better for those spending the festive season in refuges and other forms of temporary accommodation.
