Taunton School donates £3000 to Madagascar aid charity

Posted: 19th July 2021

The school has been supporting the organisation, which helps some of the poorest communities in South East Madagascar, for three years.

At the end of the summer term, Headmaster Lee Glaser presented charity trustee Dr Chris Swinburn with a cheque for £3,000, the culmination of three years of fundraising by students and staff.

The sum raised will go towards the building of schools in Madagascar – both the bricks and mortar and the resources needed in the classroom.

Lee Glaser, Headmaster of Taunton School, says: “The spirit of philanthropy runs deeply throughout our school and I am pleased and proud that we are able to make this donation to TASC Madagascar.”
