Rugby, rackets and netball development days

Taunton School is proud to be holding development days for rugby, rackets and netball during half term next month (24th and 25th February 2022).

Here, children will get the chance to learn key skills in their chosen sport, led by our highly skilled sports staff on our fantastic facilities on-site here in Taunton School.

See below for information on each of the sessions and how to book. All registrations close Friday 18th February and spaces are limited, so we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

 

Rugby development days

Taunton School is running Rugby Sevens development days for Years 5 and 6 led by our skilled rugby coaches. Throughout the day, pupils will learn about all aspects of Sevens play including key skills such as kicking, attack and defence, athletic development, game theory and recovery.

Rackets development days

We are introducing development days for racket sports, including tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis. We will run days suitable for Years 3 to 8 (with separate days based on age group) which will cover gameplay, tactics and techniques.

Netball development day

We will be holding a development day for netball, covering all aspects of netball gameplay with a focus on athletic development, shooting, ball handling and getting free. Years 5 and 6 can attend in the morning, with a session for Years 7 and 8 in the afternoon.
