Since leaving Taunton School in 1988, Matthew has spent the majority of his working career building Lloyd & Whyte Group in to one of the top 25 insurance broking businesses in the U.K. The business is now part of the Benefact Group. A unique financial services organisation, which is the 3rd largest corporate charitable donor in the U.K. Matthew cares passionately about culture and values in business and organisations. He lives in Taunton and currently has a son and daughter at TS. A keen golfer, who has been part of the Old Tauntonians Golf Society for many years. He has been a Governor since 2023.
