Sheila has spent much of her career in the public and not for profit sectors. She is a qualified CIPFA accountant and has worked in local government as a Finance Director and Chief Executive across a number of local authorities. She has worked as UK Debt Advice Director and Board member for the Money Advice Service leading on the development of a new commissioning strategy and standards for debt advice. More recently she has worked as an advisor and consultant to a range of charitable organisations. She is also a Lay Trustee of the R.C. Archdiocese of Southwark and a Trustee of British Gas Energy Trust.
She lives locally and has three adult children and a step-daughter. Her youngest child attended Taunton School. She joined the Board of Governors in 2020 and is currently the Boarding Governor and Deputy Chair of Governors.
